Welcome to the Cowcatcher Division website. We are also known as Division 1 and are part of the Lone Star Region (LSR) of the National Model Railroad Association (NMRA). This website has numerous features to provide you with education, information, events, activities, and tools to increase your knowledge and skills as a model railroader. This site is open to everyone; however, we most certainly would encourage you to become a member of the NMRA.
I have been a member of NMRA for about 10 years and in that time I have seen my modeling skills improve dramatically as I have been exposed to different techniques through local, regional and national clinics but more importantly I have met a wide variety of people who are leaders in the hobby and now are friends and are always willing to lend advice or help with a specific problem.
In 2023 we are continuing our Division's two major themes of 2022 for our clinics and meetings:

If You Do Nothing, Expect Nothing as a Result!
These themes will run throughout our monthly meetings, our Leadership Team's responsibilities, and in our on-line communications. Think about what these themes could mean to us. What are your dreams? What result do you want to achieve? Also keep in mind the NMRA Achievement Program which is a perfect way to help us become better modelers by stretching our skill sets to achieve our dreams with measurable results.
