As Director of Division 1 of the Lone Star Region of the National Model Railroad Association (NMRA), I’d like to welcome you to our home on the internet. Please take some time to explore all of the features that we have assembled here to provide you with education, information, events, activities, and tools to increase your knowledge and skills in order to make you more informed on railroading history and become a better modeler. This site is open to everyone, however, we most certainly would encourage you to become member of the NMRA.

As a model railroader for over 40 years, I only joined the NMRA a few years ago. Since that time, I’ve grown to see just how much I missed in all of the years when I wasn’t a member. The friendships that I’ve made, and the opportunities that I have had as a member of this organization, are too numerous to list. I’ve become friends with some of the most well-known modelers in the world, operated on layouts that have been featured in the hobby’s top magazines and had doors opened for me that I could have never imagined.

I invite you to join me in being a member of one of the best organizations to serve any hobby, and I welcome you to experience what I have found as a truly rewarding journey.
