Dick Brannan's Lone Star Division
of
The Louisville and Nashville Railroad

HO Scale

Dick Brannan's model railroad is a freelanced representation of the Louisville and Nashville (L&N) railroad in eastern Kentucky and Tennessee in the period 1979 through 1984.

The primary traffic on the road is coal. The coal is mined at the Poor Fork Mine outside of Cumberland, Kentucky. The coal then travels via L&N down the Poor Fork Branch line to Corbin, KY, then to Knoxville, TN and eventually is delivered to the Bull Run Power Plant, a TVA facility, located in Clinton, TN. Additional traffic includes gravel, wood products, steel, aluminum, and petroleum products.

From Knoxville, the L&N travels south through Chattanooga and on to Atlanta, GA and Nashville, TN. At Corbin, KY the road runs north to Cincinnati, Ohio and west to Lexington & Louisville, KY.

The Lone Star Division is located in a 10 x16 climate controlled building located off the back deck.
